Team Fitness Community Programs are community-based adult fitness programs. By design, all classes are conducted before work hours. Team members workout for one hour, three days per week, in a great team environment. Incorporating the three foundational factors of FUN, VARIETY, and CAMARADERIE, Team Fitness coaches insure individual success by maintaining an individual’s desire, providing solid coaching (instruction and repetition), and driving strong accountability.

TYPICAL 1 HOUR WORKOUT

Minutes 1-8 Walking and Talking - Purpose: Relationship building, loosen up the body.

Minutes 9-14 Power Walking or Jogging - Purpose: Raise the body temperature to prepare the muscles for stretching. Changes every workout.

Minutes 15-23 Stretching - Purpose: To get through the hour without pulling muscles. More stretching is recommended for all members at the end and outside of class.

Minutes 24-30 Initial drill - Purpose: This first drill is designed to get everyone’s bodies going at full speed.  Often this will involve some coordination, hand-eye, and skill work and is generally done in teams of 2 or more. Each day this changes.

Minutes 31-50 Main workout - Purpose: cardio-vascular, strength, coordination, and speed.  Every workout this changes.

Minutes 51-60 Game - Purpose: For the sheer joy of playing. Games are played with good effort, but without the down side of competition.  By design, everyone can play at his or her own level.

Team Fitness programs will “get you fit” and easily allow you to “find your fit”.  All workouts and games are challenging, but are designed to accommodate all levels of fitness. Drills and activities always have several speeds, or lengths, or times, or strength levels from which to choose. This allows a member to select and vary their participation at an intensity level that will maintain a high aerobic level of conditioning throughout the workout.

Coaches maintain great relationships with each member outside of class by calling and writing each team member throughout the year, and will always call a team member who is absent from a workout just to check in.
